SATA RAID0: ICH5R vs Promise FastTrak (onboard)

I'd like to purchase an MSI 875P Board with both ICH5R Southbridge (integrated RAID) and Promise PDC20378 Onboard.
Now I wonder what's better for my RAID0 array ... the integrated ICH5 RAID oder the Promise FastTrak RAID.
ICH5 should give me more performance - theoretically - as it's integrated into the Southbridge while the Promise Controller is likely connected via PCI Bus. But Promise could be a technically better solution concerning RAID management, compatibility etc.

Does anyone have some experience with both solutions?
Which one's faster, which is easier to manage?

Greetings from Germany ..

yeah...i guess its just a matter of what bus you want to bog down since one is part of the south bridge and the other probably runs on the PCI bus.

That's right....

Well, I also found out that ICH5 is soft RAID, done by the driver. Maybe I'll get less CPU utilization using the Promise driver.... but a friend told me, that this is some kind of soft RAID, too (about 75% software)

I think I have to google around some more...
