I got a Gigabyte GA8KNXP9 (latest bios F7) with 2 WD Raptor SATA (stripe) as boot. And another Seagate Barracuda 160Gb SATA.

I got all connected to my SATA 1 connectors, but on boot my Seagate disk doesn't appear. Thou I can find and setup my Raptor disks in nvidias raid utility.
In Windows the Seagate disk doesn't appear either.

In the bios setup I got the options.

Enable/Disable IDE Channel0 : is enabled
Enable/Disable IDE Channel1 : is enabled

Enable/Disable IDE/SATA Raid : is enabled

Enable/Disable SATA1 : is enabled
Enable/Disable Primary SATA1 Raid : is enabled
Enable/Disable Seconday SATA1 Raid: is enabled

Enable/Disable SATA2 : disabled
Enable/Disable Primary SATA2 Raid : is disabled
Enable/Disable Seconday SATA2 Raid : is disabled

The SATA1 connectors are sorted like this on the mb:
1 : WD Raptor connected
0 : WD Raptor connected
3 : Seagate barracuda connected
2 : nothing connected

I begining to think that some of the sata1 connectors aren't working properly :( just my luck... as it is brand new.

There is something I dont understand. You said that you have all connected to your SATA 1 controller.. so that is 2 Raptor and 1 Seagate ... 3 devices for 2 connector!

If, what you meant is that you unplugged your 2 Raptor and plug the Seagate to one of the SATA1 connector, then to have it show at the BIOS post screen, then you have to disable RAID for the SATA1 connector you are using. And if you dont span the array between the IDE/SATA connector, you don't have to have RAID enabled for the IDE/SATA RAID.
