I haven't delt with sata before so me knowledge is pretty limiting. I was looking at my friends new HP and his one harddrive was connected via the small thin sata cord. So am I correct in assmuning this is a sata drive? The bigger question is that he would like his old hard drive (an IDE) one put into his machine. Is this possible? Running half sata half IDE? I have a feeling that it won't. Thanks for any help.
