Hey I have an Asus P5w Dh Deluxe mobo. On the ich 7 there are 3 sata ports. I have those port used for 3 hard drives. The are 3 additional sata ports on the mobo. 2 of them are used for some sort of ez raid. the other one is labeled raid one. When i plug my new sata dvd burner into any of them (enabled in the bios). the dvd drive isnt seen. Only if i use one of the ich 7 sata ports then its seen. If i butone of the sata controller cards even though it says raid can i plug my dvd burner into the pci controller and have it work with the dvd burner attached?
