SATA port multiplier for p5wdh deluxe?

Hi, quick question as I'm not able to verify for sure in manual or find here in search whether an external SATA port multiplier, plugged into my P5W DH Deluxe, will work.

I use the eSATA external port with one drive connected but want to connect up a couple more without going into tech overload, need it for occasional data backup, no Raid.

Also, do I need anything else besides a 5x1 SATA external port? No more slots in my box I'm afraid but not ready to build another system just yet.
