SATA or IDE

I'm trying to decide if I should get the IDE or SATA version of the 80GB WD 7200RPM. What's the difference? Do I need anything extra to run a SATA HDD? Or are they the same?

nice system. I use IDE and don't have any reason to get a SATA. You won't notice a performance difference at all if I'm not mistaken. IDE's are a bit cheaper too. I guess if you want the latest and greatest you should consider a SATA or a SATA II. Otherwise I would get the most memory for the least amount of money.
