SATA mobile rack that can be turned on/off?

Looking for a mobile rack that will do the following.

1. 3.5" SATAII

2. Allow me to turn off SATA drive while still inside the rack

I don't need to be swapping drives or pulling them in/out of the tray. even the handles on the Kingwins at work break.

I backup once a month so, I just need the drive to be on when I do. I prefer not to have the drive running everytime my PC is on, much less do i want the noisy 40" fan whining all the time.

Thanks for any suggestions!

My Kingwins have a key switch. Just turn off the power - same effect.

But these look very interesting:

thanks!

So what model Kinwgin do you have?

Also....if you just turn the lock/key OFF....the drive turns off and you can leave it inside? Is that correct?

The Kingwins we have at the office, you tunr the key off/unlock and the drive pops out.

Thanks!

Mine do not pop out. They are several years old. The keyswitch does two things - it turns power on and off and releases the tray handle so it can be lifted to remove the drive.

I like this new design in the link - no tray! Just a key switch that turns power on and off.
