SATA locks?

I have an Asus A8N-E with my SATA hard drive plugged into the SATA 1 port on my motherboard. What is this about locks that you have to watch for when overclocking? Can i safely overclock with my hard drive plugged into that port?

Ok I see. Since my motherboard is pretty new, I can just assume that it has locks?
