Hello.

I am looking to purchase a asus a8n-sli delux mobo.
Can someone tell me what the diference between SATA 150 and SATAll is? I am looking for hard drives and I have no idea what the difference is.
Thanks

Joe

If I remember correctly, SATA II has a higher bandwidth capacity than SATA 150. To date, no harddrive even comes close to Sata 150's maximum bandwidth, so Sata II is useless at the moment.

sata II has a theoretical output of 3Gb/s while sata150 only does 1.5Gb/s, right now the speed difference is unnoticable to the average user. But i would recommend sataII due to NCQ (native command queing) and just for future technology improvements.

well lookie here!!

ohh and welcome to the forums 🙂

You should see absolutely no difference between the two.

SATAII i think has some kind of ability to run a SATA hub from 1 port which is nifty

1 port = 4 SATA using hub

but generally speaking, most mobos come with at least 4 SATA ports and thats enough. Just buy whats cheaper
