Sata II controller card?

I'm looking for a cheap, good sata II controller card- I'm not interested in raid and it needs at least 2 internal connections. Anyone got anything/seen anything good?

Also, pci-e x1 only goes to 2.5, how much of a performance hit does that amount to on the sata II @ 3?

1) SATAII is mostly marketing bull.
1a) As such you can get a SATA card and be happy

2) You're never going to saturate the PCIe x1 bus with two hard drives.
2a) Don't worry about it.

You will get better performance with a SATA II card in a PCI express slot in RAID-0 - maybe in 1 and 0+1 too. If you're just using them as standard drives though, there are no single SATA HDDs that can outrun SATA-1. Even Seagate's new perp. recording drives...
