SATA-II Compatibility

If I have a SATA-II hard drive but the motherboard is only SATA-I, will the HDD still work?

Yes. Use jumpers on HD if in doubt. (Not all need/have jumpers).

seagates do have jumpers, but by default they're set to sata I so you should be ok.

You should be fine, just make sure to set the jumpers.
