I bought a new computer recently with a 80GB SATA harddrive in it.
My old computer currently has a 60GB IDE harddrive in it.
I have tons of personal files on the old one and it would take a very long time to transfer them over just via copying them to CD.
I was thinking that a much faster option might be to hook up the old IDE drive directly to my new computer and just transfer the files straight from the IDE drive to the SATA drive.
Will this work though, since they are different standards?
And if not, do you know of some adapter or program that will allow transfers between the two separate types of drives?
