Sata / Ide Trouble

I got a big trouble, and the problem is an ide hdd.

I am using a vista 64bit os on a sata drive, but was a os on the ide hdd too, now i dont want to use the ide hdd just that on what is the vista64bit os.

When i remove or unplug the ata thn the computer wont start :thumbsdown:, it says Select proper boot device or inster boot media...

Please help to fixing this problem rly.

You could use your Vista boot CD to repair the boot manager IIRC. Pressing ESC on the partition screen brings up the service menu (hope I'm remembering it right), anyways, when all activities die down just fire ESC.
 
In the future, when installing an OS on a new disk, remove all other unnecessary disks (data disks and other OS disks) from the computer. That will avoid this happening again. Windows can't put boot files on the "wrong" disk if there're no other disk choices.

TT Element T Cooling fan 120mm front, 200mm top, 120mm rear

I was installed Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit on the 500gb seagate hdd in 2008, and so now i want to remove the 80gb ide hdd from my computer.
But when i remove that ide hdd or unplug it the computer wouldnt boot properly.
What should i do for fix this problem?

Acronis is showing that ,the Seagte C: (Active,Boot) , the Hitachi ide drive D : (Active,System) , but the install was on the seagate drive, ???

The install was on the C: drive not on the D : drive. On the D : drive was vista 32 bit os before
 
I had a similar problem on XP. Windows installed itself on a disk different from the boot disk.
I had to delete several partitions and leave it no choice but to install on a single active partition that was left.
