Hello. A friend just got a bunch of pc components and I am helping him put his system together. He got a Gigabyte GA-K8VM800M motherboard and a WD SATA drive. The drive is plugged into the SATA 0 slot and yet Windows will not recognize the hard disk.
Does he need two drives (like if the mobo only accepts a raid array)? Or is there a new bios we need (if so, how can we flash the bios without a floppy)?
Thanks everyone,
Jared
