SATA HDD

I need a SATA HDD that is quiet 'cause my computer is 4.324 in. from my bed I was thinking Segate Barracuda's x4 (SATA) 7200 RPM. Is that a good idea or am I going to end up having to pt my 'puter in closet. (Oh God I hope not!)

Get Samsung HDDs and suspend them to reduce vibrations to your case.

Most of the time it is not the hdd that is continually making the noise but the fans in the case and mobo. In addition to a quiter hdd you might want to invest in sound dampening material. At least on the side of the case that is closer to the bed.
