Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 1 (build 6001)
Board: ASUSTeK Computer INC. P5K-E Rev 1.xx (latest bios installed)
Processor: Intel 3.0 Core Duo 8500 Wolfdale
C Drive: Seagate 500 SATA
D Drive: WD 750 SATA
E Drive: WD 75 Sata Raptor
F Drive: WD 37 Sata Raptor
CDRW: Sata
4 GB DDR2

History and Problem....My WD 750GB drive was working fine until I cloned my WD75 to the Seagate 500 and made the Seagate my C Drive. At that point, the bios still saw the D drive, but Windows Vista didn't recognize it as being initialized (was working fine before that). Thinking that the drive had gone bad somehow, I replaced it with another WD 750 via warranty. I installed it, initialized it, formatted it (NTFS), installed the data from backup source, and it worked fine for awhile. Now, it suddenly quit being recognized. When I go to the Drive management program, it shows that it is not initialized and I can't initialize it because of an I/O error. Bios sees the drive and Vista sees it, but can't use it.

I removed the E and F drives and reseated the SATA cables (I have tried changing cables and swapping SATA ports on several occasions already). Vista recognizes the D drive. I shut down, and reinstall the E and F drives and reboot and all is well again. Windows is showing C, D, E, F drives (as well as external USB, SATA CD, and USB removable storage drives). It works for awhile then the D drive stops being visible and exhibits all of the same issues from the start.

I would appreciate any feedback that anyone can offer.

Thanks in advance
