sata hd running hot?

i have 1 ide and 1 sata in my comp. the ide is running at 46c but my sata is blazing hot at 66c. is this normal? my case is open and temp is about 22c in my case.

wow 66C mine runs at 30-40C may be sign of failure...

its also reading something in intervals of 1 second. over and over and over.
