I have the Samsung SATA DVD on my system. It seems to burn DVD's fine in about the normal time, but when I verify the burn using Nero 7.5 the verify is real slow.
The drive reads the data at about 2x and the verify takes 5 times as long as the burn.
When I had my old NEC IDE drive I did not have this problem. This system is an old Norce 2 Athlon XP system. I am going to upgrade soon, the SATA DVD drive was the first step, but right now doesn't seem to be a good one.
Has anyone noticed this with the Samsung drive? Or is it the old Nforce chipset, and the
added on SATA controller on it?
Thanks in advaance🙂
