Sata DVD/CD Burner

All my mobo talks of is sata HDD connectors. If I hook up this into one of those will there be a problem? If no, can I hook it up to connection 3 (there are 4) and have my HDD on 1 in case I decide to get another HDD and raid them?

i dont think there are SATA dvd/cd drives as of yet, all of them use PATA still.

To be honest, I don't think Serial ATA is worth getting for this drive. You can get the same drive with the same specs, except it's 50 dollars cheaper. I don't think there would be a problem tho..not positive
