Building a new rig with 2 SATA drives I want to set up in raid 0. Hardware all installed but when I try to go into RAID setup ( CTRL + I), nothing happens. If I don't have windows CD in drive I get this message: PXE-E61:Media test Failure check cable.
If I do have windows CD in drive and proceed to windows setup, press F6 and install drivers from floppy, I eventually get a windows error msg stating that no hard drives are installed.
I have the following components:
MSI 865PE neo 2 MB
2 WD SATA 10K hard drives
p4 3.2E
Antec neopower 480 PSU
2 512 stick corsair value select ram
ati x800 xt video card
NEC IDE DVD drive
My hard drives are connected to SATA connectors on MB and I've tried both the SATA power connects and the Molex (not at same time
. I can detect no hard drive noise so it seems they are not even powering up. I've tried removing the cables and reattaching therm but it had no effect. Everything else appears to be working fine. Any ideas/suggestions? Thanks a bunch!
