SATA drives after Windows Install?

I'm looking at building a system using a Asus P5AD2 board with 2 250mb SATA drives. I downloaded the manual, and it states to install XP service pack 1 before using SATA drives. How is this possible?

How do I install XP beforehand if the SATA is my primary drive?

Thanks

You can slipstream SP1 or SP2 into the Windows XP CD.
Do a search and you'll find the info. You may also be able to just add the drivers at installation time. Press F6 during setup.

Thanks for the quick reply. I found an article on slipstreaming.

Should I still F6 and install the driver supplied by ASUS?

Unless you're putting them into a RAID array I don't think you'll need them. If they won't show up then just reboot and use the drivers from Asus.
