Ok

I have an MSI K8T800 NEO FIS2R board

I have a 10k Raptor

I HAD a 60GB IDE drive connected to the board as well, but as of today I sold it

Windows is installed on the raptor drive, but for some reason when I removed the IDE drive, it wont boot

I get a boot error

The bios recogonizes the drive, and if the IDE drive is plugged in it boots fine...

Anyone have ANY idea wtf I'm doing wrong?

You probably had both drives connected when you installed Windows, and the SATA drive was the second drive so the Windows installer put the actual boot loader on the first drive (the IDE / PATA).

This comes up often, but I don't know offhand what if anything you can do -- try search here and in the Operating Sytems folder if no one else chimes in or you don't want to wait.

All you have to do is reinstall windows or boot from a windows XP cd and use repair. You will probably need your mobo's sata drivers on disk before hand so make sure you do before you begin and good luck.
