SATA drive and Windows 2003

Last night I built a system with the following:

ASUS A8V Delue
1-Gig XMS Corsair Memory
AMD 64 FX-53 CPU
74 gig Wester Digital Raptor HD

When installing Windows 2003 Server I hit F6 to install additional drivers for my device. I installed the drivers to a floppy disk from the ASUS provided CD for the SATA Controller. However, shortly after I receive a message that Windows could not find the drive and Windows must quit. I can't figure out why it is doing this as I recently built a different AMD 64 system with a SATA (not Raptor drive) and it went smooth.

Any ideas on what is causing this? I believe I am correct in using the SATA driver for the controller. This is a non-RAID system setup.

Appreciate any help.

Currently I have the DVD-Rom as the 1st bootable device as I am installing Windows 2003 fresh via the CD on boot.
