For some reason, my NF-7 S Revision 2.0 mobo can't run SATA through a SATA to IDE adaptor. I use a Samsung 80 gb HDD that's ATA133. I made sure that the SATA is enabled in the BIOS, and with the original BIOS (the BIOS that was installed from factory) windows detected that there was a SATA controller, but when I connect the HDD to mobo, windows doesn't load and the there's some sort of disk error. My HDD has no bad sectors and has never been abused. I've installed the drivers that came with the mobo when windows asked me to do so during the time it detected new hardware. Thanks in advance for any help and advice.

so you installed windows on PATA
then switched it to SATA and want it to work?

You're getting a disk error becuase windows is looking for the PATA device and not finding it
If you want to boot from SATA you isntall from SATA.

Yeah, try repair installing windows when it's hooked up as a SATA if you want it to boot as SATA.
