SATA DATA Cable feels "loose"

Am I missing a bracket or something to hold this WD 74Gig Raptor cable from working its way off?

If it snapped in a little bit when you pushed it in then its in correctly, it might feel loose but i don't think it would fall out/

Thanks. I think You're right.... It does just "snap in place"...

yeah i know what you mean...its a bit of a design flaw with the SATA connectors, they fit very loosly. i have to be very careful when i'm moving around in my case, they can just pop right off.

Since you have a Western Digital drive, you have the option of using their SecureConnect cable with has additional latches for a more secure connection:

The SATA connector feels real secure on my Raptor 74G.

Nah. I'm happy with my current job.. Pulling a tooth usually does take a bit more strength than disconnecting a SATA cable, interestingly enough. 😀
