sata controller weirdness with a twist

I have previously posted about my woes with a Biostar I45 that might be dying, and as a result my sata devices are giving me issues. However I just restarted after a crash and now my windows audio service as well as my ATI video service are refusing to start. What the heck is going on here? Is this related to my motherboard problems or is this something new? Thanks.
