SATA connectors

I just ordered a bare WD2500KS drive and am a bit confused orver interface connections. My KN8-SLI board came with 4 SATA cables. Are these all I need to connect the drive? Western Digital has a new connector shown in the product manual that is much larger and is supposed to be more rigid. If I read it right I can either use it(which I will have to buy) plus the legacy 4 pin molex power connector or I can use the cables which I currently have. I've not used SATA before so I would appreciate input.
Thanks

One way or another, you haev to connect to cables to the hard drive: power & data. There are two options for power for your WD SATA hard drive. You can use the standard molex four pin power, or you can use the SATA power connector. The availability of each power connector depends upon your power supply. The newer rigid WD connector, IIRC, blocks the use of the SATA-style power connector, and you have to use the molex power for the hard drive.

If I don't use the new rigid connector do I just need the connector that came with the motherboard and nothing else or is there also a power connection I need use?
Thanks

I finally figured it out. Pulled the cover and checked my power supply. I see there are two wide thin connectors for the drive. I just thought it odd that the installation manual showed the power connector wider than the data connector but it all makes sense now.
Thanks for your input.
