SATA CD-ROM Drive:

Saga

Banned
One of the rigs I just ordered for a client included a serial DVD Burner. Sort of curious if I will have to toss in a IDE drive to install windows seeing as how usually you have to load SATA drivers via floppy just to get the HDD to recognize.. can't even get to that point if you are using a Serial Media drive to install the OS.

Is the HD Sata as well? if not set the bios to boot from SCSI and it should go off CD. now if HD is Sata I am not sure if it will give u option of SCSI0 SCSI1 in boot order but worth a try!

Should be no problem. BIOS will support booting from the SATA CD-Rom. You will have to press F6 to install the SATA drivers when the installer starts.

Suggestion above worked, both CD-ROM and HDD were SATA. Bios did support the SATA CD-ROM and I just had to install the HDD drivers with the provided floppy diskette. Thanks.
