SATA card wont install

I just got this card:

And no drivers are working. I tried drivers from the disk, drivers from the site, drivers from the chip makers site, all the versions. Nothing works. The card works fine in BIOS and it appears as RAID controller in device manager, but when i go to install the drivers it says no drivers found.

have any HDD attached to the controller? some controllers do not show up unless a drive is attached.

Secondly, what motherboard? if the addon card uses the same chipset as the motherboard's extra sata ports, it will not work correctly.

Wierd. I have two of those controller cards, but the Syba version (looks identical in appearance though). I have had no problems with them. I flashed the newest firmware from www.siliconimage.com (see Storage, 3114). I then installed the newest RAID drivers for Win7 64-bit, and then the 64-bit RAID storage manager tools.
