SATA card wont install

have any HDD attached to the controller? some controllers do not show up unless a drive is attached.

Secondly, what motherboard? if the addon card uses the same chipset as the motherboard's extra sata ports, it will not work correctly.
 
Wierd. I have two of those controller cards, but the Syba version (looks identical in appearance though). I have had no problems with them. I flashed the newest firmware from www.siliconimage.com (see Storage, 3114). I then installed the newest RAID drivers for Win7 64-bit, and then the 64-bit RAID storage manager tools.
