So I am looking at getting the GIGABYTE GA-EP35-DS3L (energy saver) motherboard for my new build. While obsessing over the configuration of the build I came across the GC-RAMDISK which is a DDR-SSD (unfortunatly only a 4GB limit).
By researching this device I found people were getting much higher transfer rates by using a quality SATA card vs. their on board MB SATA. I am not sure what motherboards they were using but the cards worked better in most cases.
Does anyone believe a SATA card works better than an onboard connection? If so, would a card be better for this particular motherboard?
Thanks,
JOe K.
