SATA and RAID Probs

Hi,

My new shiny box of tricks won't get past the XP setup stage.
I have 2x Hitachi 340Gb drives plugged up to the SATA_1 and SATA_2 ports.
BIOS is upgraded to 0614.
I used Intel Matrix setup to generate a striped 64k 640Gb RAID0 config.
Hit F6 to load the controller files during the XP setup from a floppy I created from the ASUS CD.
After staus bar shows "Starting Windows" I get 0x0000007B failure.

Have tried loading all four of the drivers from the Boot disk generated but the ASUS CD but still no joy.

I have since then deleted the RAID partition and have started again in normal IDE mode and all seems good but I shouldn't have to......

What have I missed?
Why can't I get the RAID config to work?

Thanks for your help.
