SATA and EIDE issues in my system.. HELP plz..

Okay, my system setup is like this.
2 HDs on IDE1
2 HDs on EIDE PCI card

A7N8X DELUXE motherboard 2.0



Well, I just bought a raptor and would like to boot off from that as my primary HD.
The thing is it is in my BIOS, the boot sequence, there is not such thing as SATA, only SCSI.
So i took out the EIDE with xp on it. Hoping it will boot from SATA..

no luck.. so i took out all the HD off from the EIDE, same thing.
Right after it say Boot from CD..... it just stop ther..

so then I took the 2 HDs off from the EIDE pci card, and only SATA drive left there.. and it work..

is there a compitablity issue with sata and pci card .... or something ? hellp
 
don't know for sure, but my suggestion would be load OS on raptor, set bootup on HDD 0, plug it all in and hope it finds the OS on the raptor?

i've never used HDD controller cards, so can't really say. if that doesn't work or don't wanna try it, head over to http://www.nforcershq.com/forum/ for more help.
