AT blog post.

Now that Seagate has launched an HDD with the new SATA 6G interface I presume we will begin to see this implemented on motherboards within the next few months.

Wonder when we will see it on SSD and how much of an impact it will make?

Intel G3 anyone?

Well, I got my SSD for its lightning fast random access performance, not for humongous sequential read/write performance. So, I dont care much about that. But as with everything new, it wont be the only thing that changes on a potential "G3" - and that just might be something that makes me feel bad. ;)

Given Intel's focus on small file random IO speeds versus large file sequential IO speeds I would be surprised if Intel was the first to launch a SATA 6G interfaced SSD.

OCZ on the other hand, I see them prioritizing rolling out SATA 6G.
