SATA 4 Overclocking data corruption

I overclocked while using my main hard drive on SATA 4, with the setup listed below

it took me an hour at least to reinstall etc. is there something i can do to avoid this problem in the future?

when you say avoid this problem again, do you mean not using unlocked SATA ports without the knowledge of I being locked or not.. well in that case it would be beneficial to do some research before OCing..

if you are looking for a solution in which you can easily install back to the previous state, before your current OS/HDD gets corrupt from the unlocked BUS it resides on, i would then advise on doing regular backups, and make images of you primary partition (the partition with the MFT installed).. then you can run a back up program like Acronis true image :thumbsup: to re-instate the original HDD state/OS etc .. ;)

well if i remember correctly, sata ports 3 and 4 on nforce4 motherboards are locked along with the pci bus. the data corruption came as a surprise to me
