Are there any issues installing two wd raptors (36 and 74) on a sata 3.0 abit ip35 motherboard?
I'm having troubles and think this might be the cause.

None that I'm aware of. SATAI should work fine on SATAII, what sort of problems are you having?

When I attach a raptor to reformat and boot from cd, drivers load and then blue screens me with system root/system32/ntdll.dll something like that.

You might try a different XP CD. I've had this problem several times and it always seems to be a minute scratch on the CD causing the issue.

You'll need the raid drivers if that's what your planning on doing(read your sig)

Right, but what he's saying is that you will need the RAID controller driver disk if you're planning on running Windows on an array.
