Most or all of the colleges I'm looking at accept either. Which should I take? and which, IYHO, is easier? And then I'll focus more the one that people tend to see as easier or better to take.

When I took them a few years ago, it depended on where you lived.

The east cost is all SAT.. and from what I have heard.. other parts of the country use ACT

Lord Jezo is right... east coast will take either ACT or SAT but SAT is preferred somewhat.

I live in ohio - both tests are accessible. and if it helps, I plan on majoring in computer engineering - so I need a test that's easier in math so my scores would seem a bit higher.

Jaybert, the only time I ever see you is on these SAT threads :) In regards to EmperorNero's question, take both. The SATs only take 3 hours and ~$25. You might as well take it and if you do well, submit the scores. If you do poorly, don't submit the scores.

I'd say SAT. If you study it...then you can absolutely own it. The ACT is kinda the same, but they add in other material that might be easier or harder for you. Take a practice test of each and see which you feel more confortable with, or you can take both and then only submit the one you want to schools depending on the time you have.
