hey well i'm going to be taking the SAT's soon. i got to a sat prep school and do all the regular things to prepare for it. but in the writing party of the test i do horrible. all the answer choices kind of look similar to me. People can't really seem to give me tips to the matter. All they say is when you have done enough problems you start "seeing" the answer.😕 is this true? or is there anything that can help me

thanks 🙂

First time I took it, I got a 630 on the writing. A few months later, without any specific prep on the subject, I got a 780 (with only a 10 on the essay). I'm pretty sure that the multiple choice just clicked for me. Just read a bunch and the answers will seem logical.

alright dang was hoping for some trick or something lol. oh well i guess ill just work hard these few months. cause writing is killing me right now. 480 /cry i do fine on all my other subjects. my psat scores were 730 in math and 640 in reading. btw im just aiming for 2k or above

When are you taking it? I would start reading some literature with perfect syntax, like the New York Times or the Economist, so you can get some experience with it. Is English your second language?

I think it is true. I went to a PSAT prep course (which also helped me for the SAT) and they taught us how to think about the question like the test writers. I still don't have a clue why the answers are right (in the writing section), but I was able to feel out the right answer. I was able to bring my score up from 620 to 730 with that method.

well i was raised with speaking mandarin but i was born here in the U.S. so I wouldn't say english is a second language to me. To me, when i choose an answer it seems as there could be one or the other choice interchanged for the answer and still be right. but thanks for the advice
