SAT failure

1910? That's pretty damn good. If you avg it, you got 634 out of 800 on each section. What were your actual section scores, though?

ALSO SAT added a new section, top score is now 2400

iwas at first like, holy shlt, then i remembered its out of 2400 now.

whats a 1910 supposedly equal in the old rating system???

you take the math and reading scores and add them together, then it tells you what it is out of 1600. so the OP got a 1300, hardly failed 😕

~1250?

looks like if you subtract his writing he still got a 1300.

thats not that bad at all.

I got a 1530/1600 and I do not expect to get into any of the 11 schools I applied.
Get good grades, regardless of difficulty, and you can still go almost anywhere.

I got into RIT with 1300/1600 which isn't great, but not bad either.

RIT took kids at my HS with a 1100 and gave pretty good scholarships to boot. Not saying that RIT has low standards... just stating 😛

HAH, I was one of the last people that got to take the SAT when the score was still out of 1600. Sucks to be you

But by my stanards, you did okay. I got a 1390, but most of my friends got 1000-1200. You're above average

State school FTW

Don't forget that you can take them again, and practice. A lot of it is just luck, circumstance, and familiarity with the types of questions.

I scored 1360 on the old system which wasn't horrible, but I have no idea how 1910 rates on the new system... I didn't even know about the new section of the test!

I just got a 2050 on my last one (taken as a junior) which equates to about 1380. I plan to take it again as a senior.
