need your info on college applications.

Did you list all test scores (both ACT and SAT) in application? or list the best score?

Some colleges said they would pick the best score. How do they convert ACT score to SAT or vice versa?

anyone knows how it works?

thanks

There's a chart somewhere that shows the correlation between SAT scores and ACT scores. I just submitted both. Course, I would have been admitted even w/o either:p

<edit>I got 1300 on my SAT which is average, but what's the normal SAT mark? From the media it just seemed that 1400+ would be acceptable at US colleges. </edit>

sorry about what i said before

Don't take both.

You always read about some young egghead in your area every year who manages to get a 1600 on one and a 35 on the other. Unless you're sure you can pull that feat off, don't take both tests, because it will be a waste of your time.

Practice one, and stick with it. Virtually all schools will take both the SAT and the ACT. I personally took the SAT, but that test is becoming increasingly convoluted with the new changes and all, so you might want to learn about the ACT. A good place to start would be your local Kaplan test center. They have free seminars that tell you all about the tests.

Well, I'm canadian - We mostly only have the SATs here for Canucks who wanna go to the US. And.. we don't even need SATs.. I don't even know why I'm taking them. US univ is too $$ anyways.

Now how could you be admitted without either? I only got 1300 on my SATs which I think is pretty bad.. is that an ok mark? What is? I only thought 1400+ were considered good.

Yeah, 1300 is horrible.

Your average person gets about 1000 on the SATs.

Whoa. Sorry if I offended anyone, I didn't know that. I seriously thought 1400+ was considered 'good'.

Nah, don't be. I'm just sick of half the people on here saying crap like "I did so crappy on my SATs. I only got a 1500!"

I forgive you, you're Canadian. ;)
