Going to a small SASS event this weekend as a spectator. Really looking forward to it since I'm interested in that kind of stuff. Will be taking the camera so I will probably post some pics then if anyone is interested.

no, i'm not a member.
i had thought about it, but while i'm decent at shooting, better at rifle than pistol, i'm not that great. I have a lever action .22 and a single action .22 revolver, but i don't think those are regulation calibers for adults from what i've read. So that would cost me more money, not to mention having to buy an outfit, which i can't imagine would be very cheap.

i guess its more about having fun than doing well, but I'm not sure i could see myself doing that. i'm very shy and anything where there's an audience makes it 10x worse, lol.

Our local SASS range

Check out how decked out that is

I don't shoot in it, but have a Uberti 1873 Cattleman, 94 Winchester, and a Puma 94.

This is a really small area in TX and the folks who run it also run a local shop and are top notch people. Not to mention the owner's wife is a SASS gold winner :p

Yeah, I thought about it too. Somewhere I came across some of their magazines, looked like it could be fun.

All I have in "cowboy" guns is .22 also. 2 pistols, Colt Knockoff's (with double rig holsters) and a lever action .22 rifle.

While you're there, see if there are any .22 events
