The funniest parts? Probably the editors crossing out "Abraham Lincoln" with "Andrew Johnson" and cutting out the "applause" cue :laugh:

I mean, wtf, how did any university award Palin a 'communications' degree without having their collective heads explode?

i would have ot agree with that. i think she is what ruined McCains election. Though he should have thought about it more then trying to get the Clinton votes.

as to her actually writing that i doubt it. Also i have seen a few post like that about other presidents, gov etc when it comes to writing speeches. odds are this is a first rough draft. they get re-written so many times the final won't look anything like the orginal.

Listen to her 'speech' and read the text.... I believe it's verbatim as it's from the news wire not the tip of her crayola

This is why a guy at a podium with a teleprompter and soothing voice will always win over people. Her speech was unprepared and not rehearsed which lead to what was given here and thus could be so thoroughly torn apart. Obama's speeches are all gone over with this level of detail and read verbatim which leads to him being seen as a great speaker. She just doesn't have the presence or candor to be interviewed or give a speech off the cuff like some politicians (ie. any Kennedy).

This is whats said by you Obama supporters, but that is far from reality. The fact was McCain was a turn off to the conservative base. For Republicans, the conservative base gets you elected (W, Bush 41, Reagan) or stays at home and you loose (Bush 41, Dole, McCain). Palin probably did turn off some moderates but she drew in many more conservatives. Without Palin, McCain would have lost by a huge margin.

Also, for those who think that Republicans should appeal to there moderates, we did. Those moderate voters still voted for the other guy.
