CNN's Gary Tuchman did an interview with Palin in her Alaska office for the first time since the campaign began.
CNN says they are just getting the tape in and will have all of the interview soon.
Caribou Barbie also said, "I did know that Africa was continent"
She also said even if all the things being said about her were true the media has an obligation to release the names of who said them (apparently she means the sources who talked with the news media)

Oh, boy! I wonder if now that she doesn't have the RNC and the McCain campaign to tell her what to say, she's going to implode.

Waiting for it to go up, so I can linky.

Oh, and some more stuff came out on CNN:
http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITI...ccain.palin/index.html

One source involved in preparing her for interviews and the vice presidential debate told CNN "she had not paid attention to a single policy debate that's gone on in this country for 10 years."

Two McCain sources said they were furious about Palin's supposed call Saturday with French President Nicolas Sarkozy, which turned out to be a prank by two radio DJs.

I waited 8 years for Sarah Palin. And god willing we WILL have her to kick around for 4 more.
If she thinks the Democrats were tough on her, wait til the primaries in 2012, the Republicans will tear her a new one.

She'll be in the Senate well before 2012. So I think you'll have her around to kick for quite some time. I like her. I just didn't like her as VP of the USA. I wouldn't mind seeing her in the Senate. She needs to drop the pseudo folksy bullshit though, and be "less down to earth". And let's face it, now that she has had a huge drink from the cup that is the lower 48, she is never going to be satisfied staying up in Alaska.

Surprise surprise, now she's gone to the ol' fallback of blaming the liberal media!!!11111

...except that it was a Fox News correspondent that reported that whole Africa is a Country thing.

I dunno...it sort of legitimizes her claim that she is just like your average joe-sixpack!

I fixed your link for you, DAD! :D

And she was surprised on the sexism outside of Alaska? Really? Well, I think that good little Eskimo babe needs to finish slicing up that seal blubber for dinner before it rots, and get me another beer, darlin.

ah, sorry. I have the option of just clicking the image on the originating site and it automatically adds the tags...as I would normally do on a fully-funkshunul site. :D

Agree. If she was a dead horse. With clowns talking about her political aspirations, let's see them head off at the pass. Until she gets the message that she should stay at home and manage a tiny state (population wise) at the most, she should be browbeaten because there is too much at risk to have somebody like her with more power than she already has.

Why the fuck did they pick her in the first place? Come on!!! Did anyone not think this was a complete blunder by McCain? Nevermind...I know the answer to that question unfortunately...:(

We needed a new village idiot to take GWB's place in the media once he leaves office; Palin will do.

Agreed. It's scary enough that she controls Alaska.

It's even scarier that people took her seriously in the first place.

I think it just goes to show the power of the right wing spin machine. They geared up in a hurry to praise her without knowing a thing about her. And the gullible Republican sheeple bought it, just like the bought the idea that Bush was really smart, he just didn't speak well.

Let this be a lesson to every American. It takes brains and education and hard work to qualify yourself for the highest political offices in the land. Not good T and A and learning some punchy lines, you betcha.

I think we have to look at it from the human perspective, and in this case from inside of the ego of Sarah Palin. Her eyes have only seen the tremendous crowd appeals she has, its natural for anyone to deny their weakness, and everyone's human ego tends to be pro self. So Palin blames McCain for mishandling her, sees McCain as the real drag on the ticket, and that is better for the Palin ego than to accept blame.

But warning to all who underestimate Palin, she is a smart and intelligent woman, and while stupidity is a lasting and uncorrectable liability, ignorance is correctable. And if Palin gets the right adviser and hits the books, she can become quite a formidable candidate in a few years. Some abilities can't be taught, and she has some tremendous raw political abilities.

It does not make me a Palin fan, it makes me a realist when I see danger ahead.

We need a smiley for a clown who promotes an incompetent political figure.

People try to deflect the palin selection criticism to sexism - not unexpected. In reality, she is personally unimportant in the overall picture. What's important and appalling is that any political party could support and promote such an unfit candidate for high office. The circumstances surrounding this selection should be investigated so that they can be recognized and avoided in the future.

The dirtiest trick someone could pull would be to send her a free subscription to The Economist. If she read that for a couple of years, she'd be a lot less ignorant.

However, based on the debacle we've been treated to, and how most humans remain in the groove they committed themselves to earlier in adulthood, I seriously doubt she'll do any book-hitting. Her ego seems so all-consuming that she probably does not see the need. Fortunately, looks also fade after awhile, and she's in the final bloom of middle age. The MILF factor will go away, and Rush can go back to masturbating into his pillow.

What I hope doesn't happen is that Stevens resigns or is expelled from the Senate, and Palin, instead of nominating a replacement, simply nominates herself. I would not put it past her. Then again, the voting count for the Senate race is nowhere near finished in Alaska.

And how about those boneheads sending that jackass Don Young back to Congress yet again?

As Bill Maher said tonight, if you're still that ignorant at age 44, doesn't that sort of indicate that you're not that bright?
