Palin also made a point of mentioning that she loved to visit the "pro-America" areas of the country, of which North Carolina is one. No word on which states she views as unpatriotic

UPDATE: Palin clarifies her 'pro-america' areas remark
http://voices.washingtonpost.c...es_her_pro-americ.html

at a Greensboro, N.C., fundraiser about it being in a "pro-America" area, the campaign issued a slightly more detailed version of the pool report that came out yesterday.

The upshot? Washington, D.C., is neither "real America" nor "pro-America." Other parts of the nation? It's unclear, but if you live in a small town, you're probably patriotic from Palin's point of view.

Whew. I guess I am pro-America since I live in a small town that approved civil unions and voted to arrest Bush and Cheney for crimes against the Constitution if they ever come here.

You know if the MSM were really pro Obama they'd give Palin's appearances a lot more coverage.

States for McCain/Palin = Pro-America patriots

States for Obama/McCain = Terrorist pacifists

Edit: I'm in a swing state (FL) so I'll have to wait until the election outcome to see if I should put a flag and yellow ribbon on my car or go take Bill Ayers classes.

Wow, just wow. Thank you again Senator McCain and staff, besides putting quayle back in the vp seat, you picked the next best thing. So, I guess MA would be unpatriotic, due to it's left slant, gay marriage stance, health care policy, even though most of the founding of our country was done in MA. She's a gift from santa. Thanks again Unkie Johnny, you picked a winner!

I'm sure any state/city where you find a lot of black people would be anti-american. Don't find many at her rallys.

You betcha!!

She'd be just a 72 year old cancer survivor heartbeat away from being leader of the semi-Free world.

Ironically, I was having sex with a man, smoking PCP and burning an American flag when I saw this break on TV.

In Palin's "worldview" you're either pro-McCain Palin or anti-American. I really badly want to see Palin confronted by, a true pro-American. She has special memorized lines for every little thing that could possibly happen inside her magic bubble.

She must mean Alaska. The State with the most successionists per capita of any state in the union. Patriotism is just GOP code for "agrees with the party talking points"

Isn't it time for this pro-stupid dweeb to quietly fade into oblivion and let those of us that exist in the real world contemplate how we make it from day to day? With all the issues we as a country face today, the bullshit she's spouting is hovering close to number 3 billion for it's level of importance.

I agree. Especially since the Bush "You're either with us or you're against us" policy, Patriotism has meant exactly what that.

I've been Patriotic since WAY before the BushCo Neocons turned it into a dirty word...

Her attempted fix for the stupid remark just marks her as a bigger buffoon.

Are we supposed to believe that she actively campaigns in D.C. so much that it is refreshing to catch a break and campaign someplace else?

And if the stresses of campaigning are so severe as to be depressing, I am sure the pressures of being VP, possibly president would shatter such a fragile being.
