I hope she's burning the midnight oil preparing for the VP debate. It's in a couple of weeks.

The wheels are coming off the wagon.

Does anyone here think she'll have a snowball's chance in hell unscripted against Biden in front of a live national audience?

Only problem is if the women voters will call foul when she's getting hammered by Biden. It's pathetic that people are voting McCain/Palin just cause a woman is on the ticket, even if the woman is the most unqualified person in the world.

I've too fears about the debate. That is one of them. The other is that Biden will be worried about that and as a result pull some punches. If it's candid and honest I expect her to get pummelled every bit as mercilessly as when Cheney manhandled Edwards in the last VP debates. I heard that it still hurts Edwards to sit after that one.

I'm glad she's crashing and burning, the last thing we need is some power abusing, book banning Creationist Aunt Bea whack job as VP.

Nah... You're right. Better to have a completely unqualified D...

Obama - Minus telepromter

Obama - Minus telepromter - Been to 57 states... only has Alaska and Hawaii to go!

That first one is funny. He is thrown for a total loop and cant even remember the basics of what he is rambling about.

Cheney didn't manhandle Edwards at all - he lied, and the fish took the bait, hook, line, and sinker

"This is the first time I've met you" was a lie, period, but you and your groupies ate it up.

You know what's a shame? She'd be cute if she wasn't such a terrible pile of shit with a human mask on. Kind of like GWB, he'd be endearing at the least if he did a decent job and wasn't a total douche-bag.

No, he really did destroy Senator Edwards in that debate. Lies sprinkled here and there might be a nice thing to point to hours later to try to take Vice President Cheney down a peg or two, but it's pretty much unanimously agreed that the takeaway from that debate was that in a battle of wits, Cheney would absolutely destroy Edwards.

Governor Palin isn't stupid - she's just out of her depth and struggling to learn a lifetime of issues in a month. She's probably doing the safest thing right now - giving non-answers - as opposed to venturing a guess at questions and having it all blow up on her.

Obama carries his telepromtor with him everywhere he goes... so he can recite speeches that other people have written for him.

Just FYI.

This is about the weakest point you could ever hope to make in an attack on Obama.

Just FYI, Obama has written every important speech he's ever given, HIMSELF.

The 2002 Anti War speech.
The 2004 DNC Convention speech
The Address on Race Relations
His Nomination Acceptance Speech

He is perhaps the most hands on candidate in decades with regards to his speeches. He meets frequently with his speech writers, gives them his own notes, still writes late at night and edits on the go (when he has a minute or two, I hear he's a bit busy these days.) Not really surprising from the mind that headed the Harvard Law Review or authored two autobiographies.

I'd be surprised if the guy who finished 894 out of 899 is allowed anywhere near a pencil before he stutters and awkwardly smiles his way through yet another horrible speech.

Just FYI.

And that was a SOFTBALL foreign policy question. What is she going to say during the debates when she gets a curveball?

Those are the toughest questions to answer. It is like walking into a job interview and they toss a blank question at you. So why do you think you are the best candidate for this job?

*crickets*

I think she answered that pretty well by first addressing the attacks on her lack of foreign policy experience by her opponents. Then by saying go ahead and ask specific questions regarding specific situations.

If this is the worst we can find of her public speaking record. This is light years ahead of where Bush has been on his best day.

Unfortunately I don't think he is. It's a symptom of those serving in the Palin Defense Force.

She was asked about "specific skills", she cited none. She was asked about her own qualifications, she answered by saying "we're ready".

Sometimes I wonder how the PDF members keep a straight face when they spew their BS.

She will benefit from the soft bigotry of low expectations, as did President Bush in his campaign debates. All she has to do is fail to seriously embarrass herself and avoid sounding entirely brain dead, and her partisans will declare her's the greatest debate performance since Abraham Lincoln's.

Cheney looked terrible in that debate.
