Palin Hints at Presidential Bid
In an interview on Fox News, Sarah Palin (R) said she'd "offer herself up" to run for president in 2012 -- if no other good candidate stepped forward.

Said Palin: "A reason to run is if nobody else were to step up with the solutions that are needed to get the economy back on the right track and to be so committed to our national security that they are going to do all that they can, including fighting those on the extreme left who seem to want to dismantle some of our national security tools that we have in place. If nobody else wanted to step up... I would offer myself up in the name of service to the public."

Yes, because the Democrats are doing such a wonderful job, we really need Caribou Barbie to run and keep them in office even longer.

She won't get the nomination.

Well color me shocked, its been obvious to everyone all along that Palin was delusional enough to think she was Presidential timber.

Meanwhile she rakes in piles of money from fools who think she is worth more than two cents.

Sarah Palin is on a roll, why should she change? Her shit sells, and its a sad assessment on this country that it does. But IndyColtsfan is probably right, Palin will never get the GOP nomination. But still, Sarah Palin still wins because the money keeps rolling in win or lose.

Indy will be the first in line to vote for her.

Don't be so sure about that.
If idiots like Angle and O'Donnell is able to win the Republican nomination over decent Republicans like Tarnakan/Sue Lowden and Mike Castle, anything can happen.

The major Republican kingmakers in this election seem to be Sarah Palin and Jim Demint.

It depends on how Obama is perceived when the primary/caucus season rolls around. If the Reps think he is a shoo in for a second term they may throw Palin under the bus. When she fails, her wing of the party takes a hit. If it looks like Obama is going down then expect a white, male, conservative but not loopy, Southerner on top of the Rep ticket.

Well...That crosses out Mitt Romney, Mitch Daniels and Tim Pawlenty.
Who's left? Haley Barbour?

If she runs its because Todd wants a new snowmobile. Its a cash grab for Sarah Palin, might as well run. Palin's peasants live to give her their cash.

I warned you lefty fucks your sputtering hate for her would get her elected. Always always, the thing that matters are issues. Does she have any issues and are they right. But no, you just gotta call her the c word and shit like that. You God damned assholes deserve it if she wins. She will be your creation the monster from your own Id. Only small minded shits attack folk on anything other than issues. Is she weak on issues? Focus on that, God Damn it.

If there's one person I trust to get the economy back on track, it's Sarah Palin.

Seriously, though, I hope she does run. Not because I think it would be good for the Democrats, but because I would love to see her get mercilessly shredded in the Republican primary debates (where her presidential ambitions would be ended).

She won't get the nomination.

I disagree. She's very popular among conservatives in this country. I think she could easily get the nomination. Winning the general election is another matter.

The real question is how relevant social conservatives are in the landscape. Politically she was very smart to latch onto the tea party. She has also been very shrewd politically with her whole mamma grizzly shtick....

She can win Iowa. She can then win three of the next four primaries before heading into more centrist states. Will she have enough momentum?

Can we start guessing about running mates? I think Demint or possibly Sean Hannity

You watch too much 50's sci-fi.

Hehe, I remember seeing The Day the Earth Stood Still when I was 7 and it left me in a state of shock. I realized for certain what I had long suspected, the adults were completely nuts. And then of course there was Forbidden Planet that actually spoke the truth of how we destroy ourselves from our unconscious feelings. These were powerful seeds that grew. I recommend 50s scifi.

What's that? Sarah Palin registers a 9.2 on my NeoCon/Warmonger meter. If she gets elected it'll just be more spending on never-ending wars, more draconian laws, less individual freedoms.

Meet the new boss, same as the last boss, and boss before that.

No shit. Remember when Beck asked Palin what her favorite founding father was? Marbles of the mouth.

It is going to be interesting for the GOP.

Okay, is this being driven by the liberal media keeping her career alive? If they only ignored her the Tea Party et al would not support her?

You know regardless I just don`t think that the Tea party as of yet is that big of deal, nor will they be..IMO!!

Add Invasion of the Body Snatchers to that list, though the 1978 version was even better.

Palin as president would be as disastrous as Obama has been.
