Well i decided the vid. card for my first build is going to be an x850xt
the only thing is i'm not sure which of the brands to purchase
there is the SAPPHIRE X850XT $170
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814102688
and then there is teh HIS X850XT $247
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814161164
the only reason i'm considering the HIS X850XT is because there is $15 instant savings and $50 dollar mail in rebate making it close to the same price and i have read its easily the best X850XT card
if i go with the HIS i need to know how newegg mail in rebates work (i know it is through the company not newegg, but how do i go about doing it and what do i need to send). I will also buy a DFI Mobo and a clear sided. Going this route will add about $60 to the final cost.
are the cosmetics worth the price? after seen the HIS GPU and DFI mobo under blacklight it has really convinced me to spend the extra $$$ and then i could easily sell it to some non-tech who wants to get into gaming easier because the case and lights will attract him.
But again, it is my first build i may have troubles with the DFI motherboard. I will eventually get into OC'n after i feel i'm ready.
So like i stated, is the extra money worth it? The mail in rebate is only good through the 4th and i don't really understand how this works. I print off the form and fill it out and have it postmarked by the 4th? But how do i prove i have the card? From the newegg reciept?
Thanks for the help
