Sapphire X800xl lacks molex

I'm building a PC using MSI NForce4 Ultra MB (non-SLI) which uses the 24 pin power connector. My PSU is an Antec truepower 430 which is a 20 pin. I've read that this works okay but that the last 4 pins that are for PCI Express won't be powered. So if the video card lacks a molex and the PSU doesn't fully power PCI Express, will I have problems?
I haven' bought the card yet, waiting for price to come down alittle.
Also, the X800XL doesn't support Shader 9.0C (I think). Is that a big deal?
