Sapphire X800GTO

Can anyone hold my hand getting this card to 16 pipes. I've got the retail card from newegg with a 430 core 1.6 memory and all f's. I've read 1/2 a dozen ways to mod or flash the bios and don't know which one is right.

I strongly suggest reading this article before trying to unlock anything:

Also, browse their forum and see if anyone with your particular card got it to unlock. I only know of Connect3d gto and Sapphire gto2 unlocking, both are pci-e models. Most other gto's dont unlock.

From what I read on newegg this card should be able to get 16 pipes.

I have a Sapphire X800GTO AGP 256mb.

It's unlocked to 16 pipes and overclocked to 425/550mhz.

Runs great, no artifacts.

It's the same card as the PCI-E GTO2 but with a PCI-E to AGP bridge.


As the guys said, read the stuff on the Techpowerup site, the bootable ISO is even available on one of the pages of the X800GTO AGP unlocking thread on the Video messageboard.

from what i read their x800GTO doesn't unlock just their X800Gto(2)

Many agp gto cards unlock. However the only card that unlocks 100% of the time is the gto2. I'd do what the others have said and check the techpowerup thread to see if yours will unlock.
