Not a bad deal...closest competition is the Sapphire X800 (NP) for $185 shipped after MIR (no vivo though).

Hmm, their Vivo cards are $235 + shipping, that's not half bad for a potential XT.

EDIT: you forgot the mandatory
Link X800 Pro
Link X800 Pro Vivo

Thanks for providing "my" link🙂 I had it "cut" and ready to paste then got caught up in my own grammer mistakes and forgot to "paste" the link;-)

The $199 card lists VIVO as does the $235 card. What gives? They are both "bulk" so it doesn't appear that the more expensive card comes with cables either.

Are the "newer" Sapphire X800 Pro's easily overclocked to XT speeds? I've just recently started looking at buying an X800 model rather than a nVidia 6600 or 6800 series (i.e., ATI now offers better bang for the buck)?

The $199 card isn't flashable, only the ones with the yellow connector are. I doubt it even has vivo capabilites, probably just a mistake on Atacom's part.

Those are PCI-E though, and the XLs are known to be poor overclockers, I'd rather have a VIVO pro which have a good chance of reaching XT PE speeds.

Do the remaining 4 pipes (i.e., going from 12 to 16) on the x800 pro's (the ones with the "yellow" connector") usually unlock are do peeps generally experience artifacts etc. after unlocking the 4 pipes?

As far as I know it's a guaranteed unlock, in some cases the clock speeds may need to be reduced due to the extra pipelines being enabled, but that's rare. Most cards will flash to XT PE, or at least XT.

So did anyone order one of these? Seems like a pretty good deal.

I really need PCI-E for my current "in-progress" build. I'll stick with my 9800 Pro's (in AGP) for another year and really get a deal on 2 AGP cards. Since I have 2 PCs, I need to be more cost conscience with video card upgrades (i.e., 2 PCs....2 cards to upgrade).

I started to order one last night, but their order form isn't secure. Not worth the 35$ saved.

Thats not good at all.

****EDIT**** I just checked it out and the order form for me was secure so I dont know whats up on your end but working fine for me.
